It appears there is no end in sight to kidnapping in Uso, Owo local government area of Ondo State as eight people where again abducted in the community last week.
The Oloba Of Uso, Oba Ademola Adebiyi Oyinbade, is deeply worried about the situation, describing it as fearful and dreadful.
He said farmers are no longer safe going to their farm because of the activities of men of the underworld operating in the community, saying in the last one week about 8 individuals have been kidnapped.
The monarch noted with dismay that apart from the monetary ransom these kidnappers are collecting from the victims, they asked for packets of tramadol tablets, carton of milk, crates of malt drink, beverages and other items.
Oba Oyinbade appealed to the state government to deploy security agents to Uso in order to smoke out these men from operating in Uso and its environment.
One of the victims said that the kidnappers informed them that they were sourcing for money to replace their guns that were ceased from them by the security agents in the recent raids.
Investigation revealed that some of the suspected herders are residents of Sabo area in Uso and the Hausa settlement in Ayede-Ogbese a nearby community to Uso.
