GIA; Akinyemi leads others to assess Obaseki

Dr Bolaji O. Akinyemi, the Board of Trustees Chairman of Project Victory Call Initiative, popularly called PVC Naija and the initiator Governance Impact Assessment, GIA, will lead an array of Patriots from across the country committed to nation building in assessing the performance of the outgoing  government of Edo state headed by Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

According to a statement issued by Paula Bellgam, the President of Project Victory Call Initiative, GIA, is an assessment of the performance of the party in power and the Governor by the electorate to issue a performance score card and guide. This, we believe will guide incoming administration on the need of prioritising the interest of the electorate to inform their programmes and policies.

Bellgam further said, “the gap between the People to whom the mandate belongs and the Government handed the mandate through an election is the reason Government fails. The need to bridge the gap gave birth to Community Ambassadors for Peaceful Elections (CAPE) a grassroot structure of accessing Government performance.

PVC Naija is therefore set for her intervention programmes towards Edo 2024 Governorship election with Community Ambassadors for Peaceful Elections.
Our first shot will be Governance Impact Assessment: Scored Card 2020 to 2024; PDP/OBASEKI, the event she said is the first in the series of interventions programme for Edo 2024 and it will hold in Benin City, Edo State, South South, Nigeria on Monday, 29th April 2024.

Akinyemi is a known uncompromising Advocate on good governance, expectations are high across the nation on what to expect from GIA.
