Group writes Tinubu, says only Aiyedatiwa can deliver good governance in Ondo.

Ahead of the primary election for the emergence of the candidate for November governorship election in Ondo state, members of Itesiwaju Political Group( IGP) have sent a letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu presenting Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to him as the best among all the aspirants jostling for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the state.

Already, the group, under the leadership of Haruna Jamiu Adesina noted with delight how the President have been guiding the National Working Committee(NWC) on the conduct of a free and fair Governorship primary  elections since he assumed office as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It declared that governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is the most prepared aspirant for Governorship in Ondo State because of his innovative thinking that has helped him in touching nearly every facet of Ondo State as an Acting Governor for few days and as a Governor for less than four months.

The letter reads ” The entire APC leaders and even some of the Governorship aspirants are overwhelmed by the affection of the good people of Ondo State for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa since he became  Governor of Ondo State after the demise of late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. 

” It  is clear that the only democratic choice of the good people of Ondo State is Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and they have all resolved to give him the mandate to lead them for another four years after the expiration of this administration. 

“Your Excellency, the Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is 100 percent ready to carry out the people’s democratic directives with focus and he has demonstrated this within his first 100 days in office as he has paid N1.5 billion gratuity to the retirees in the state, awarded N220 million loans to traders and artisans, given approvals for the immediate recruitment of 2000 teachers into public schools and 650 health workers to fill the vacancies in both educational and health sectors . 

“Between December 27th , 2023 when he was sworn in as our Governor in Ondo State, he has awarded 60km roads across the state and also committed over N3.4 billion for the construction of rural roads across the state and in order to keep the good legacies of the late former Governor of Ondo State going, 

“Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ordered contractors handling all the road projects across the state to immediately return to sites for the prompt completion of all the ongoing road projects in Ondo State and thank God today the residents of all the towns in the state are extremely happy with the quality and fast road constructions across the state. 

We want to appeal to you not to listen to some pessimists and unscrupulous politicians from Ondo State who don’t have any good plans for the development of the state but how to impose someone who will open the doors of our treasury for them to be depleted.
