Courtesy Visit: Aebajiogbe Oduduwa Alphabet Academy seeks government intervention


The Ondo State Government has promised to protect the Yoruba Cultural and Tourism Centres to generate employment and boost the Internally Generated Revenue of the state.

Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in the State, Alhaji Rasheed Badmus gave the assurance while playing host to the team of Aejiogbe Oduduwa Alphabet Academy from Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife and the University of Ibadan during a courtesy visit to the Ministry in Akure, the State Capital.

In a Press Release issued by the Director Information in the Ministry, Mr Niyi Alonge the Commissioner who acknowledge the efforts of the team noted that their mission is in tandem with the vision of the Present Administration under the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and assured of the collaboration of the state government.

Alh.Rasheed Badmus said that governor Lucky Aiydatiwa has taken into cognisant and as one of his priority to protect the Yoruba Cultural and Tourism Centres to generate employment and boast the Internally Generated Revenue of the state.

Earlier, Prof. Adisa Ogunfolakan who led the team explained that the purpose of their visit was to intimate and keep the Ministry abreast about the discovery of Oduduwa Alphabet at the Idanre Hills Resort.

He maintained that there is need for the Ondo state government to harnessed the resources for the development of the state.

Also, Chief. Tolulase Oguntosin from Port Novo,  said he discovered the Oduduwa Alphabet during his research at the Idanre Hills some years back and pleaded for government intervention.

Other Members of the team include Prof. Aremu from the University of Ibadan and Chief. Mrs Olufolaju of Idanre Kingdom.
