Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa has received the Best Entrepreneurship Governor’s Award at the Young Leaders Entrepreneurship Conference (YOLEC) organised by Elizade University Press Club and Yolechub Ltd at Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State.
The Governor was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu.
The theme of the event: Opening a new chapter of moving Nigeria from consumption to production through collective effort to address the difficult situation entrepreneurs find themselves and how to assist the government in boosting production to ameliorate their suffering.
Aiyedatiwa appreciated the organisers,said he is inspired by the determination, creativity and resilience of the youths.
He implored the youths to engage in entrepreneurial ventures, as no nation can survive without micro-businesses.
He charged Nigerian youths to change the way they think about Nigeria, that the government of Asiwaju Bola Asiwaju has made available grants for unemployed youths and loans for students.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa added that the State government has empowered over 25,000 entrepreneurs in the recent summit through the Ondo State Entrepreneurship Agency (ONDEA).
In his comment, the convener of the event, Mr. Tosin Adesile, said the yearly event is to prepare young people for entrepreneurial life.
