Owa’s Passing: Ondo APC commiserates with people of Idanre

The late Owa of Idanre was a custodian of history and embodiment of tradition, who led his people with uncommon wisdom, and humility.

That’s according to the Ondo State chapter of All Progressives Congress in a statement signed by the state publicity secretary, Alex kalejaye to mourn the monarch who died on Wednesday.

The party described his death as an irreparable loss. It urged Idanre Kingdom to take solace in the giant strides by the late monarch, and what he epitomised; justice, fair play and peaceful coexistence.

“Chairman of the state chapter, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, described the development as  a personal loss. He wondered how the centenarian was able to effectively combined tradition with the Christian religion.

Adetimehin, who hails from Idanre Kingdom, said the late traditional ruler believed in the efficacy of prayers, adding, “the late king could prayer for several hours, without stopping”, the statement said.

The party is deeply moved by the sad news, and expressed sympathy with the royal family, the good people of Idanre Kingdom, and the comity of traditional rulers in Ondo State.

The party organ prayed God to overlook the majesty’s human errors and grant him eternal rest.
