Aiyedatiwa Bags Honorary Doctorate of Security Intelligence



Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has received a prestigious award as Doctor of Security Intelligence DSI in Governance, Political and Peace Management Intelligence.

Governor Aiyedatiwa was honoured in Akure, the state Capital, at a gathering organised by Advanced Institute of Professional Security and Intelligence Studies, Nigeria (ADIPSIS).

The Chairman, Academic Board of the Advanced Institute of Professional Security and Intelligence Studies, (ADIPSIS) Dr Gideon Akinwumi said the award was presented to Governor Aiyedatiwa in recognition of the governor’s outstanding contributions to enhancing security across the state.

The Commandant lauded the Aiyedatiwa administration for its innovative and proactive approaches to security, particularly in curbing crime rates, and fostering peace in Ondo State.

The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, while receiving the award expressed gratitude to the organisers for recognising his administration’s efforts at ensuring the safety of citizens and properties in Ondo State.

The Governor described the birth of the Amotekun Corps in the state as timely, stressing that the move has made the state to be adjudged the most peaceful state in the country.

He hinted that the reappointment of the Commandant of the Amotekun Security Corps in the state was out of his commitment to securing the lives and property of the people of the state, especially at the grassroots.

He further highlighted the recent purchase and distribution of 25 high-grade Toyota Hilux vehicles to security agencies to boost enforcement in the state.

Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to implementing strong security measures to maintain peace and stability in the state.
