Jomu Lobun of Oro Kingdom congratulates Gov. Aiyedatiwa on 1st anniversary, election victory

The Jomu Lobun of Oro Kingdom, High Chief Mrs. Comfort Akinrotoye, has congratulated the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on his remarkable achievements during his first year in office.

She also congratulated the Governor on his success in the November 16 governorship election.

In a statement issued on behalf of the sons and daughters of Oro Kingdom, High Chief Akinrotoye lauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for his uncommon dedication to the development of Ondo State since assuming office on December 27, 2023.

She acknowledged his exceptional leadership, which she noted has brought progress and renewed hope to the Sunshine State.

Reflecting on his numerous achievements, High Chief Akinrotoye commended the Governor’s commitment to transforming all sectors of the state.

She highlighted his remarkable achievement in education, including the allocation of over ₦7 billion to primary education infrastructure and the recruitment of 2,000 additional teachers to improve rural schools.

She also praised his efforts in vocational training and the provision of bursaries and scholarships to students, which have eased the financial burdens on parents and empowered the youth.

“The people of Ondo State, especially Oro Kingdom, are proud of your achievements in the past year. From the renovation of schools and healthcare initiatives to the construction of critical infrastructure and support for agriculture, your administration has demonstrated a genuine commitment to the welfare of our people,” High Chief Akinrotoye stated.

She also commended the Governor’s attention to workers’ welfare. She cited the implementation of the new ₦73,000 minimum wage, and his proactive support for security through the Amotekun Corps.

She also praised Aiyedatiwa’s focus on infrastructure development, including ongoing road construction projects and the installation of solar streetlights, which have significantly improved the state’s landscape.

High Chief Akinrotoye expressed confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s ability to achieve even greater milestones during his next four years in office under the “O’Datiwa, O’Dirorun” agenda.

“As you embark on another term, we trust in your visionary leadership to deliver more impactful projects that will benefit the people of Ondo State. Your accomplishments are a testament to your dedication, and we are optimistic about the future under your administration,” she added.

The Jomu Lobun wished the Governor and the people of Ondo State a joyous Christmas season and a prosperous New Year.

She called on all stakeholders and citizens to continue supporting the Governor’s vision to collectively build a better Ondo State.

“On behalf of the sons and daughters of Oro Kingdom, we say congratulations on your election victory, your first anniversary in office, and the strides you have achieved so far. May the coming years bring even more success to our beloved Sunshine State,” she said.
