The Management, staff, and students of Elizade University Ilara-Mokin have commiserated with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria over the death of its Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Tosan Erhabor.
The University Registrar, Omololu Adegbenro described Professor Erhabor as a towering figure in the field of Medical Laboratory Science and a great ally and friend of Elizade University.
This was contained in statement signed by Head of the school’s Public Relations Unit, Williams Olufunmi.
Adegbenro recalled Prof. Erhanor’s recent visit to Elizade University campus in February 2025 for the induction of pioneer set of Medical Laboratory Science graduates of the University. He said the visit “remained a significant and cherished moment in our institutional history.”
He noted that his passion for excellence, professionalism, and his unwavering commitment to the advancement of the profession were clearly evident during that visit, noting that his passing is not only a colossal loss to the MLSCN and the Medical Laboratory Science community in Nigeria but also to the health sector within and outside Nigeria.
According to him, “We have indeed lost a colossus, a mentor to many, and a partner in the pursuit of quality healthcare education.
“On behalf of the Founder, Governing Council, Management, staff, and students of Elizade University, we extend our deepest condolences to the Council, the bereaved family, and the entire Medical Laboratory Science community, while also praying for the repose of his soul.”
