Aiyedatiwa assures timely completion of Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Judiciary Complex

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to the timely completion of the new judiciary complex named after the late former Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu.

The governor gave the assurance during an unscheduled inspection visit to the construction site of the complex located at the High Court premises in Akure. He was accompanied by the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Abiola Olawoye.

The judiciary complex, which was officially flagged off on 27 December 2024, is scheduled for completion within 48 weeks. It is designed to include a ceremonial court, modular courtrooms, a registry, a library, exhibition spaces, a utility building, and modern parking facilities.

The project aims to enhance the infrastructure for the administration of justice and improve the efficiency of legal proceedings in the state.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work, noting that the contractor had so far adhered to both schedule and budget.

“I am pleased with the progress of work. From my assessment today, the construction is advancing swiftly and is of commendable quality. This gives me strong confidence that the project will be completed as planned,” the governor stated.

He further commended the contractor for maintaining the project timeline, adding that his administration remains focused on delivering the project within the stipulated period.

According to him, “The report from the Special Adviser confirms that we are on track. The project was projected to be completed within a year, and we are working diligently towards achieving that goal.”

The judiciary complex, once completed, is expected to provide a conducive environment for legal processes and contribute significantly to the administration of justice in Ondo State.
