Ondo Assembly screens Wale Akinlosotu as commissioner-nominee

The Ondo State House of Assembly has successfully screened Wale Akinlosotu as a commissioner-nominee, a move that further advance his re-entry into the state’s Executive Council.

The screening exercise took place on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Assembly Complex in Akure.

The session was characterised by professionalism and constructive deliberation, with members of the House engaging the nominee on his credentials, governance experience and policy perspectives.

Akinlosotu, who previously served as Commissioner for Culture and Tourism and later as Commissioner for Information and Orientation, reaffirmed his readiness to contribute meaningfully to the state’s development trajectory.

Following the successful screening, Otunba Akinlosotu expressed appreciation to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the renewed confidence reposed in him.

He described the appointment as a renewed mandate to contribute to public service and reiterated his commitment to supporting the administration’s vision.

He also extended gratitude to the Speaker and members of the Assembly for the cordial reception and for upholding the tenets of democratic scrutiny throughout the process.

Akinlosotu promised to bring his experience, energy, and dedication to bear in advancing the government’s developmental blueprint, particularly the OUR EASE agenda aimed at driving inclusive growth across Ondo State.
