…… pledges to reposition ministry as vibrant organ of govt communication
The new Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ondo State, Idowu Ajanaku has assumed duty at the ministry on Wednesday with a pledge to reposition the state’s communication architecture and enhance public engagement.
Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Abiodun Ajanaku, and his Special Assistant, Dr. Adelakun, he arrived to the waiting arms of members of the ministry’s management team led by the Administrative Secretary, Lanre Akarakiri.
Welcoming the new Commissioner, Akarakiri described Ajanaku’s appointment as timely and strategic.

“You are coming on board at a time when the state’s information apparatus needs the touch of a seasoned professional. We believe your wealth of experience will bring the desired transformation,” he said.
Also speaking, the Director of Finance and Administration, Mrs. Etaname Ogunmoniwo, welcomed the commissioner and assured him of the full cooperation of the staff. “We are ready to do the needful to move both the ministry and Ondo State closer to the land of promise,” she noted.

Addressing the staff, Ajanaku, who reflected on his humble beginnings and years of experience working with former Lagos State Governors Babatunde Raji Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, explained that his mission is to reposition the ministry as a vibrant organ of government communication.
“I rose from grass to grace, learning the ropes from scratch. I am ready to deploy every experience I’ve gathered to promote the administration of Governor Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the enormous potentials of Ondo State to the global community,” he stated.
He called for unity among media stakeholders in the state and pledged to foster harmony and collaboration among professionals to achieve the common goal of effective information dissemination. “This ministry will be lifted to a high pedestal. All hands must be on deck as we take on this collective task,” he said.
There were prayers on divine guidance for the commissioner, the ministry and the state.
