Ondo NUJ pledges support for new Information Commissioner, Idowu Ajanaku

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, has pledged support to the new Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the state, Idowu Ajanaku.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the State Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite and the Secretary, Olaoluwa Meshack.

The union assured the Commissioner of its readiness to collaborate with the Ministry in advancing effective public communication and media engagement.

It expressed optimism that the Commissioner’s extensive background in journalism and strategic communication would bring renewed energy and professionalism to the ministry. The union described the appointment as a positive step for media-government relations in the state.

Ondo NUJ said it looks forward to building a strong and mutually beneficial working relationship with the new commissioner. The union also reaffirmed its commitment to responsible journalism that promotes transparency, development, and informed public discourse.

The NUJ urged the new Commissioner to maintain open channels of engagement with members of the press, noting that such collaboration would ensure that citizens remain well-informed about the activities, policies, and priorities of the state government.
