A young woman, identified as Timahul, has allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, Michael, to death during a domestic dispute reportedly triggered by suspicions of infidelity in Okitipupa, Ondo State.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday at the residence of the deceased in the heart of Okitipupa.
According to a neighbour, an argument ensued between the couple over allegations that Michael was involved with another woman.
The quarrel escalated into a physical confrontation, during which the suspect allegedly retrieved a knife and stabbed the victim fatally.
Michael’s death has left residents of the area in shock, with many struggling to come to terms with the unfortunate development.
Confirming the incident, the Spokesman of the Ondo State Police Command, SP Olayinka Ayanlade, said an investigation had commenced to unravel the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The case is currently under investigation.
