2027: Aiyedatiwa mandates all Pro-Tinubu support groups in Ondo to operate under his leadership

…..Warns against parallel campaign activities

All groups mobilising supports for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in Ondo State are to operate under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa who is this leader of the APC in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku on Saturday.

Governor Aiyedatiwa had on Friday unveiled the “Ondo State for Tinubu 2027” campaign platform during a meeting of All Progressives Congress (APC) state leaders held at the Government House, Akure. The governor declared the platform as the unified and umbrella body for all pro-Tinubu support groups operating in the state.

The Commissioner for Information and Orientation said the initiative aligns with the APC constitution, which designates the sitting governor as the leader of the party in each state.

He affirmed that Governor Aiyedatiwa is constitutionally and strategically placed to provide unified direction for all party activities, particularly those relating to national campaigns.

According to the statement, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s long-standing relationship with President Tinubu, dating back to 2012, alongside his deep grasp of the President’s vision, places him in a unique position to coordinate these support efforts effectively.

He explained that the establishment of Ondo State for Tinubu 2027 is both a show of loyalty and a strategic measure to ensure harmony, curb factionalism and prevent disjointed mobilisation ahead of the elections.

The Commissioner called on all support groups and individuals canvassing for Tinubu’s continuity in office to align their operations with the new structure under the governor’s leadership.

“All political activities must now fall under this umbrella. The governor welcomes enthusiasm and participation, but it must be channelled through a structured, disciplined process guided by the party’s constitution,” he said.
