Deji of Akure commends Akinrinola Olokunboro Foundation sanitation initiative

….Foundation cleans up Oja Oba market to promote healthy living

The Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation has intensified its weekly environmental sanitation campaign with a cleaning exercise at Oja Oba Market in Akure, the Ondo State.

The effort is in furtherance of the foundation’s drive to address environmental issues with a view to ensuring cleaner and healthier environment.

The heavy rainfall in the city could not deter volunteers of the foundation from achieving their mission as they carried out the exercise across different sections of the market. The cleared waste and promoted hygienic practices to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment.

They visited the palace of the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi to pay homage to the Monarch who applauded the commitment and the efforts of the Olokunboro foundation for bringing development to the City.

While expressing optimism over the exercise, Oba Aladelusi reiterated his support for the foundation. He pledged his readiness to support any foundation that that brings more development to Akure  communities.

Speaking with the project manager of the foundation, a legal luminary, Mrs Oluwatoba Olaifa who appreciated the support of the community and the  market women, stressed the need for their continuous support in ensuring a proper waste disposal in other to abate  natural disasters like, flood and among others.

Commending the optimism expressed earlier by the Deji of Akure, Mrs Oluwatoba noted that it’s a strength to them for having such a support from the king, saying that the foundation will continue to fulfill it purpose to support the  people.


Some of the market women who witnessed the exercise appreciated the foundation for the initiative with a pledge ensure the sustainability of the cleaning exercise.
