The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council, has inaugurated a seven-member Planning Committee for the 2025 Media/Press Week celebrations scheduled to hold between 14 and 21 December, 2025.
The committee is chaired by Banjo Egunjobi, with Jacob Akintunde serving as Secretary. Other members include Adedotun Ajayi, Olufisoye Adenitan, Kunle Ajibogun, and Omoriola Hungbeji, while the State Secretary will represent the State Executive on the committee.
In a statement signed by the Council’s Secretary, Olaoluwa Meshack, the NUJ charged the committee to ensure that this year’s Media/Press Week is impactful and memorable.
Speaking during the inauguration at the NUJ Press Centre in Akure, the Ondo NUJ Chairman, Leke Adegbite, urged members of the committee to prioritise the interest of the Union and work collectively to make the 2025 edition a historic success.
Responding, the Committee Chairman, Banjo Egunjobi, expressed appreciation to the Union for the confidence reposed in them and pledged that the committee would deliver an event that would surpass expectations.
The 2025 Media/Press Week is expected to feature a variety of activities aimed at promoting journalism excellence, capacity building and fostering unity among media practitioners in Ondo State.
