The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has dedicated his victory at the Supreme Court to Almighty God. He described the judgment as a true reflection of the people’s mandate in the November governorship election.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku.
The apex court had on Wednesday, upheld Aiyedatiwa’s triumph across all 18 local government areas of the state, a resounding victory that has been widely referred to as the “18–0 Promax” mandate. The ruling brings to an end all litigations surrounding the election.
Governor Aiyedatiwa appreciated to President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly guidance and support throughout the process.
He also commended the judiciary for upholding democracy, praising his legal team for their professionalism and dedication.
The Governor appreciated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda and party members across different levels for their steadfastness. He thanked the people of Ondo State for their resilience and faith in his leadership.
He recognised the spirit of sportsmanship demonstrated by his opponents, particularly the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Agboola Ajayi. He Urged all political stakeholders to unite in the collective task of building a greater Ondo State.
He promised that the coming months would witness transformational projects and purposeful leadership that will lift the state to greater heights.
The Information and Orientation Commissioner, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, confirmed the Governor’s renewed commitment to delivering good governance and sustainable progress for the Sunshine State.
