Dangote Refinery is a strategic national asset that must be protected – Prof. Mimiko

A renowned political scientist, Prof. Femi Mimiko, has said that the Dangote Refinery is a strategic national asset that must be protected by the Nigerian government in the interest of national security.

Prof. Mimiko made the remark in a post on his Facebook page on Tuesday while joining Nigerians to celebrate the country’s 65th Independence anniversary.

He described the survival and protection of the refinery as a “national security imperative”, a statement that shows the critical place of the facility to Nigeria’s economic stability.

According to him, “I say for the umpteenth time, Dangote Refinery is a strategic national asset! The Nigerian government must do everything necessary to protect it, and ensure its survival!! This is a national security imperative!!!”
