Wife of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Ayaba Olayinka Ladoja, has described the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi as an iconic legend and custodian of Yoruba heritage.
This was contained in a statement signed by her Head of Media and Publicity, Jadesola Ajibola to congratulate the monarch on his birthday.
Ayaba Ladoja commended the monarch for his humility, visionary leadership and commitment to promoting peace, culture and unity within and beyond the Yoruba nation.
She noted that since his ascension to the throne in December 2015, the Ooni has continued to demonstrate exemplary leadership and selfless service to humanity, which have earned him admiration across Nigeria and the international community.
According to her, Oba Ogunwusi’s reign has not only strengthened the global recognition of Yoruba heritage but has also inspired cultural renaissance and communal progress across the South-West and beyond.
Ayaba Ladoja prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, divine wisdom and long life, expressing confidence that his reign would bring further blessings and prosperity to the descendants of Oduduwa.
She described the Ooni as “a revered spiritual father and embodiment of peace, tradition and excellence,” whose legacy continues to illuminate the path of unity and development among the Yoruba people.
