EKSU Alumni Association endorses Governor Biodun Oyebanji for second term

The Ekiti State University, EKSU Alumni Association Worldwide, through its past and present global presidents, has officially endorsed the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji for a second term in office.

According to a statement signed by its 
Global Secretary, Olumide Abudu, the endorsement took place at the just concluded 2025 Annual Global Convention held at the university campus in Ado-Ekiti.

The momentous gathering, which attracted distinguished alumni, eminent personalities, and friends of the university from across the globe, became a rallying point for unity, progress, and shared commitment to the development of Ekiti State and EKSU.

The alumni leaders, while commending Governor Oyebanji’s administration, highlighted his remarkable strides in education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and public service reforms since assuming office.

In a joint communiqué presented at the convention, the past and current presidents of the Association described Governor Oyebanji as a visionary leader who has demonstrated uncommon humility, accountability, and genuine love for the people of Ekiti State.

They noted that under his leadership, the state has witnessed significant transformation, especially in the education sector, where EKSU continues to receive robust government support.

Ambassador Seyi Idowu, the Global President of the Association, expressed appreciation for the governor’s consistent partnership with the alumni body and his unwavering commitment to the growth of EKSU.

He emphasized that the endorsement reflects the collective voice of the alumni family across continents, adding that continuity in leadership would consolidate the gains recorded so far.

The endorsement was greeted with resounding applause from delegates, signaling broad-based support from alumni and stakeholders who described Governor Oyebanji’s leadership style as inclusive, people-driven, and reform-oriented.

The EKSU Alumni Association reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with the state government in advancing the ideals of excellence, innovation, and service that define both the university and the Ekiti heritage.
