Isokan residents commend Senator Adegbonmire’s support in restoring electricity

The people of Odanikin / Ayalodi/ Ajimokun in Isokan Community of Akure South Local Government area of Ondo State have described the Senator representing the Central Senatorial District of the State, Hon Adeniyi Adegbonmire (SAN) as man of the people.

The people at it’s monthly meeting said, it was only the Distinguished Senator that came to the rescue of the community in time of it’s need.

The Chairman of the Community, Mr Olosu Temitope said when  the only transformer panel of the community was vandalized by some unknown men precisely on the 27th of August this year, among all the people  contacted for assistance, it was only the Senator that responded to their call.

He said when Senator Adegbonmire was first contacted he asked for total sum for the repairs and promised to assist the community.

The chairman said after several efforts from both the BEDC and some individuals from the state without any response, it was then the community decided to go back to him for his earlier promise.

According to the chairman, he thought the promise could be a
political one but at the end, it was a promise fulfilled.

Mr Olosu said the support Hon.
Adegbonmire gave to the community has in no small measure assisted them to put back the vandalized panel.

He said this singular honour of the senator will ever remain in the history of the community.

The chairman assured that the people will for ever be grateful to him as light has finally been restored back to the  community.

He also urged the senator not to relent in his efforts at making life more comfortable to the people mostly within his catchment areas.

The Chairman also asked for the provision of powered sollar streetlight around the community so as to further enhance their living and curb the activities of the people of the underworld.

In his remark, the immediate past Chairman of the community, Mr Clement Fapohunda affirmed that senator Adegbonmire is the first politician in the history of the community that has ever come to their aid.

He said, he is no doubt the man of his words and man of the people.

Mr Fapohunda assured the senator that the community will reciprocate the gesture wherever the need arises.
