The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is to authenticate the list of its members across the State through electronic process for a secured and permanent records of members.
This was the crux of discussion during the State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting at the party Secretariat in Akure on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by chairman of the State chapter, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.
The meeting further emphasised the need to ensure the highest percentage of votes for the reelection bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, come 2027.
Adetimehin explained that the exercise would avail both the National and State offices, among others, the opportunity to obtain accurate and authentic membership records.
He called on leaders at local government and ward levels to give the exercise deserved seriousness and attention.
The SEC resolved that 18 resource persons would be trained betimes, each from a local government, who would in turn equip selected others at the ward levels, for effective easy coverage.
The registration of the State Governor and leader of the party, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, would signal the commencement of the registration statewide.
The meeting setup a committee led by the State Organising Secretary, Hon. Charles Fagbohunka, to ensure speedy implementation of the plans, a hitch free exercise.
