Zamfara APC Jajiya Movement commends national chairman over party registration intervention

By Abdullahi Alhassan, Kaduna

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the platform of the Jajiya Political Movement, has commended the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, for his prompt intervention in resolving challenges surrounding the ongoing APC electronic membership registration exercise in the state.

The commendation followed a series of strategic stakeholders’ meetings organised by the movement across all 14 local government areas of Zamfara State as part of preparations towards strengthening party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meetings, held simultaneously across the state, were convened under the leadership of Hon Aminu Sani Jaji, to review internal party structures, mobilise grassroots support and reinforce commitment to the APC’s programmes.

Speaking while presenting the report of the meetings, Chairman of the organising committee, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammed Gurbin-Bore, said the exercise was designed to consolidate the movement’s structure and enhance participation in all party activities ahead of forthcoming APC congresses.

He expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the local government committees, noting that the meetings recorded strong attendance and renewed commitment from party members.

According to Gurbin-Bore, the movement resolved to actively participate in all schedules issued by the APC National Headquarters, including the ongoing e-registration of members, to ensure that eligible party supporters are fully captured in the exercise.

He added that the movement reaffirmed its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and reiterated its endorsement of Aminu Sani Jaji as a governorship aspirant in Zamfara State.

The committee chairman disclosed that the movement had earlier endorsed both candidates during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Kaduna, describing the resolutions as a reflection of collective consensus within the group.

Stakeholders at the meetings also applauded the APC National Chairman for addressing complaints of exclusion from the e-membership registration process in parts of the state, describing the intervention as timely and reassuring to party faithful.

The meetings were attended by local government committee chairmen, party stakeholders and supporters of the Jajiya Political Movement, many of whom expressed optimism that the initiatives would strengthen APC unity and electoral prospects in Zamfara State.

The movement stated that its activities were aimed at building a cohesive party structure capable of delivering electoral success for the APC at both state and national levels in the 2027 elections.
