Alleged misconduct: Submit yourself for investigation – Kaduna stakeholders tell El-Rufai

The Coalition of Kaduna Stakeholders Forum has called on former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai to stop what it described as attempts to distract the public and instead submit himself to investigation over alleged misconduct during his tenure.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, the Convener of the group, Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad, said residents would not be “deceived, manipulated, or intimidated,” insisting that it was time for the former governor to respond to questions regarding his policies and actions while in office.

The Coalition alleged that El-Rufai’s administration implemented policies that negatively affected thousands of civil servants and teachers, demolished markets and deepened religious divisions in the state. It further accused the former administration of financial mismanagement, including the alleged misappropriation of ₦423 billion in loans and public funds.

The group urged anti-graft agencies, including the and the , to investigate the allegations and prosecute any individual found culpable.

Muhammad also appealed to residents of Kaduna State to remain calm and law-abiding, advising them not to be drawn into actions that could threaten public peace.

The Coalition maintained that accountability and adherence to the rule of law are essential for good governance, stressing that no individual is above the law.
