The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has reaffirmed its unity and internal cohesion, describing recent reports of internal conflict as unfounded and mischievous.
In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, the APC dismissed a recent publication that alleged an imminent political crisis within the party.
The report had claimed that the State Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, held a secret meeting with local government party chairmen in Abuja to make critical decisions ahead of the 2027 elections.
The party clarified that no such meeting took place and described the allegations as a deliberate attempt to create division and confusion within its ranks.
It maintained that the leadership structure of the party remains intact, with Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa firmly at the helm as the leader of the State chapter.
According to the statement, the APC in Ondo State is widely recognised for its internal stability and harmony. The party urged its members and supporters to remain confident and ignore misleading narratives orchestrated to undermine public trust.
It also reiterated the governor’s commitment to the economic and infrastructural advancement of the State and called for continuous support from citizens and stakeholders to enable the administration to deliver on its developmental agenda.
The statement assured party members that the leadership remains focused on promoting the welfare of the people and advancing the interests of the State through inclusive and responsible governance.
