Ondo State is strengthening its global investment profile as Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa hosted the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Nigeria, Mr Krejci Zdenek, in Akure.
The meeting underscored a mutual interest in promoting economic cooperation, with both parties expressing commitment to a partnership focused on industrial development, technology transfer, and sustainable growth.
Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the Czech delegation of his administration’s readiness to create a stable and business-friendly environment.
He noted that his government is committed to policies that will attract and protect both local and foreign investors, aligning with ongoing efforts to grow the state’s economy for the benefit of its citizens.
Ambassador Zdenek highlighted the Czech Republic’s longstanding industrial experience, particularly in machinery, agriculture, construction and renewable energy.
He expressed confidence in Ondo State’s investment potential, citing its natural resources, stable governance, and clear political will to collaborate meaningfully with international partners.
The delegation also included Mr Adewale Adekunbi, who emphasised the potential of the partnership to address unemployment and poverty through skills transfer and modern technology.
The meeting was attended by key members of the Ondo State Executive Council, including Deputy Governor Dr Olayide Adelami and Chief of Staff Prince Segun Omojuwa, along with top officials from the Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA).
