Former Ondo State Deputy Governor and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ajayi Alfred Agboola, has formally withdrawn his appeal challenging the outcome of the recent governorship election in the state.
In a letter dated 16th September 2025 and addressed to the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Agboola stated that after extensive consultations with his family, party leaders, associates and legal advisers, he resolved to discontinue the case filed on his behalf.
Agboola, who served as former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, said his foremost commitment remains to the principles of good governance and the promotion of peaceful coexistence in the state and across Nigeria.
He extended his best wishes to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, pledging his continued contribution to the progress of Ondo State and Nigeria.
